Yes, I know what you're talking about. They are sharpened somewhat like a
pencil and the material is a little abrasive. Come to think of it I don't
know if the local office supply store would still have them. 

There are still times when an IBM Selectric is indispensable. I don't think
typewriters are out of place. Not to unusual for a group that insists on the
use of manual focus film based cameras.

I use an old-fashioned typewriter eraser -- the kind that looks like a
pencil with a brush on the end.  They're getting rather rare.

What?  Yeah, a typewriter.  You know, the machines we used to put paper in
that had keys like a computer keyboard, and you would press the keys,
and.... Oh, never mind!
