Okay. But I'd cancel the bid on the 35 and go for the 24... oops, you
don't want to do that, do you?
Here's some excellent reasons besides never shooting architecture to
not buy the 24 shift:
* Canyons. Most people never go in them, and so don't need the 24 shift
that I find I keep on the body whenever in a canyon.
* Waterfalls. How many times do you see a waterfall anyway? So just
fuggedaboudit and let the occasional one you do shoot tilt back into
the distance.
* Two-shot panoramas. Most people aren't into panoramas anyway, so why
have a 24 shift to do simple, precise pans without special tripod
heads, etc.
* Macro. Most people are frustrated by the precise positioning required
of macro, and couldn't care less that an extension ring and the 24
shift allow you to "Ken Burns" a macro scene just by shifting the lens
around a bit.
I'm sure there are MANY more reasons not to buy a 24 shift. I hope this
