2200 = Pigment
1270 = Dye

The 2200 is actually the 'brother' to the 1280 (I believe) so it can print 
at 2880 vs. the 1270's 1440.

The Dye has a wider gamut, and more 'pop'.

I usually print on the 1270 if it is 13x19 or less and on the 7600 if it is 
larger.
