True enough.  But they had no real alternative, certainly not a better one like 
I have.  Of course, they could've used glass plates, I suppose.  Some folks 
seem to think we who still prefer film are of that sort of mind-set.  :-)

Some new developments I accept and grab onto immediately; others, I take a wait 
and see position.  That's probably why I never owned a Corvair, a leisure suit, 
or a Betamax.  I do, however, have a little Olympus C-2000 Z with a 32MB card, 
which I got brand-spanking new at the moment they hit the stores.  So, see, I'm 
a hip and happenin' guy, right up to snuff with the latest technology.  It's as 
much as I need right at the moment, and I'm waiting on something to really blow 
my socks off before I invest more, which just goes to show that I'm not a total 
Luddite.
