There is a set screw whose position you can alter, such that the lens stops
down as you turn the aperture ring. It is explained on the Kindai
International website - but in Japanese :-(

It seems like those are a fair bit more awkward to use than the OM->E1
adapter, though; on an E1 you compose and focus the shot with the lens wide
open, stop it down to where you want, while looking through a dark
viewfinder, you tweak shutter speed/whatever, then shoot.

On an EOS, you compose and focus with the lens wide open, stop it down,
then _while holding the DOF preview button down_ tweak shutter speed and
shoot.

Doesn't this mean you run out of hands, or do you use a rubber band around
the lens to hold the button in or something? I can't see how you'd be able
to get a stable grip otherwise, and even on a tripod you'd still need one
hand on the body of the lens to keep things pressed in.
