OK, so I just received a projector lens from a certain auction site.
Like new, NOT!, in original box, NOT! and with a minor case of the
fungus. The lens is a 3" Ektanar and I only paid $7 so I'm thinking of
keeping it because the postage both ways would be more than the final
price. (seller did offer refund but no postage refund) Anyway, I can't
see an easy way to disassemble this thing to clean the fungus. The
elements are recessed quite a ways into the barrel. I'm thinking to try
the proper sized rubber stopper method to unscrew. But before I start i
thought I'd check to see if anyone here has been there and done that
before and can advise of any pitfalls. Worst case, I could probably use
it as is.
