At a quick glance the two cameras seem close in specification but I'm no 
digicam expert.  If it was me buying my first DSLR I'd go for the E-300 
because it's only a little bit more $$ and it's got interchangeable lenses 
- IMHO it'll grow with you better than the C-8080 would.
