Silicon Film, aka eFilm, took millions and millions of venture capital and 
pissed it down the drain.  There were many rumours that the company never 
intended to produce a product and just milked the investors, trickling out 
prototypes for years while they squirreled the money away somewhere.

In the end, it was a product that was doomed from the start. By the time they 
got "close" to market with their vaunted 1.3 MP sensor, the market had moved to 
3MP cameras. 

As you can see, I have exceedingly little faith that this product ever had a 
chance.
