Actually, in the wet darkroom (B&W), it's very easy. We're
talking basic dodging and burning here. Combine that with
oddball techniques like split-grade printing and paper flashing,
we have it made in the darkroom.
Best of all, bringing up the shadows in analog does not increase
"noise" or create wierd tonal steps (solorization) like you get
in digital.
Don't get me started... :)
