On a small international orders I don't make taking a risk. Large orders
have to be insured, especially if paid by credit card. All a customer has
to do is call Visa / Mastercard and explain they never got their order (not
insured) and after arbitration, they (Visa / MC) simply take the money out
of the merchants account. In this situation the merchant always loses, so
insurance is not optional. A $20 shipping fee is easily split up over 5-6
buyers.
