With no disrespect to anyone else on the list, I respect you the most as
a photographer and technician -- OK, it's a tie with a few others. At
this point, SWMBO has put a kaibash on any spending for the coming year
as a snafu in my company's payroll department (and/or ADP, we don't know
yet), means we owe the IRS a substantial sum and will have to recoup
during the next several months.
Three things have kept me from plunging into digital:
handling/interface (I want my digital OM!), quality b&w output, and the
learning curve for post processing software. Add to the latter that I
really like darkroom work ... it's a zen-like space for me.
You're making me grumpy, though not so much as to join Garry and leave
the list. The information and images from list members is invaluable.
