My usual extreme macro set us is a 135/3.5 on the 4ti, with a reversed 50/1.8
mounted on the front as a super high quality close-up lens. Gives a
magnification of 2.7X, great quality, and cheap. Only fiddle is mounting the
T28 twin on the front without shading.
But of course you have the 38/2.8 for this kind of thing... wouldn't that be
less unwieldy than the set-up you describe?
