AH, if that's the question, I can say that the Canon FS2710 works fine

I haven't tried the FS4000 with Kodachrome yet, but can't imagine it
won't work equally well. The hardware infrared dust removal on this and
other scanners isn't supposed to work with Kodachrome, but some say it
does. I'll have to try it.
