I personally doubt that it will . . . not that (IMVHO) it needs further
development . . . I would obviously welcome an increase in resolving power
provided it doesn't affect its other very desirable characteristics. An
ISO 200 film rated at 50/120 lppmm with rms 11, it's very nearly as
resolving as E100S and E100VS Ektachromes with rms 10. Unfortunately Kodak
doesn't give 1.6:1 and 1000:1 lppmm, but the MTF curves of Scala look
better (more responsive) in the mid-range of 50-60 lppmm. The new E100G/GX
have an rms 8, but the mid-range of 50-60 lppmm on the MTF curves look
about the same as Scala's.

Scala is easily used from Pull 1 to Push 3 making it more a
multi-speed. I've used it at EI 100 and it opens up its latitude by about
an entire f-stop at the toe (highlights if I've read the chart
correctly). Its nominal 200 rating makes it flexible in using B/W filters
without driving one to long exposures that inhibit hand-held use under a
range of outdoor lighting. I'm very happy with what it already is.

OK . . . accuse me of long answer!
