Okay, seems I'm always behind the latest. I was assuming it was Kodak Portra
400UC, which I've never tried. I didn't know they were making a 400UC that
wasn't Portra.
I've been very pleased with both Kodak Portra NC and VC, both in 160 and 400
speed. Professionally developed, either one is excellent in my experience,
with the VC getting the edge with certain colors, such as light colored
bridesmaids dresses. Of course with Portra I'm thinking more of weddings,
not shooting veggies at the market, or flowers, or landscape, with it. For
that kind of thing, I shoot mostly E100VS now, nicely saturated slide film
which suits me.
