Hi all
While the currently new TOPE is of interest, it should be noted that we don't
have an agreed theme for the next TOPE.
There is a list of contender subjects, and that as far as I know is about as
far
as decisions have progressed.
I want to raise a suggestion again that as far as I remember was ruled out of
order when I raised it the last time a set of fresh themes was called for.
I think that some themes are so popular, and so worthwhile in terms of their
intrinsic merit, that they should be re-run as version 2, 3, etc.
I have in mind such themes as Landscape, Water, People, Portraits, Human
activity, Architecture, Macro, Trees, Plants, Recreation, (oops, they have not
been held yet), Animals, - I could go on.
What do you think?
Incidentally, I was surprised at the low number of submissions in the last
TOPE. I thought, and still think, that it would be a sitter for a lot of
entries.
However, I do understand that marvellous sunsets and sunrises are often rare
events which easily may not take place during the allowed shooting interval.
