I was going to have these two prints made anyway, and it crossed my mind
that I could compare them.

I'm more interested in comparing the "total package" digital performance with
the "total package" film-based system than comparing the Zuiko 35-104 lens
with the ZD 14-45 on one body. Note that although it is possible to run the
MF Zuiko on the digital body, it is not possible to run the ZD lens on an OM
body (the other-way lens comparison) at any aperture as there is no method
of focussing it on a manual OM body.

OK, some time, perhaps soon, I will do the three-way comparison of two
systems, and the two lenses on the digital body.

Having only relatively recently tried pushing my film system to the limit of a
12 x 18 inch print (and found the Zuiko 35-105 to hold detail very well to that
enlargement), I am very interested to ascertain what is the reasonable
enlargement limit of the E-1 system. I have certainly discovered that at least
some small (4 x 6 inch) digital-all-the-way prints are sharper than any other
prints I have ever had.

Pushing boundaries, in a small way.

Brian
