And the Internet contributes to the propagation of bad and good information, 
to wit, one Web site blindly quotes a 'source' and another one quotes that 
'source' which then becomes a primary 'source', ad infinitum. Spoof email is 
just one manifestation of this.
 It has become very difficult to trace a claim back to a root source. Well, 
for me anyway.
 What alarms me is the lack of true scientific inquiry that (I think!) used 
to exist. If 'researchers' are merely pawns in a game to achieve a 
predetermined goal, the results are unreliable at best and lethal at worst.
