Gary's questions about polarizers reminded me of another that I've
never resolved.
I'm wondering if there's a difference between the *results* obtained
from linear and circular polarizers. For years I used a Nikon linear
which was able to provide what I see as extreme polarization, e.g.,
very dark skies. My current polarizer is a B+W MC circular and with
it skies never seem to get as dark as they did with the Nikon.
Ideally, I'd test with one of each type from the same manufacturer.
Has anyone else tried this? I'd be interested to know what you
observed.
