That is interesting.  The first roll of E6 I ever processed was 
Agfachrome 100 (can't remember exactly which version) in Beseler 
chemistry.  It was magical.  I wonder if a 3rd party C41 chemistry might 
allow you to keep using the Vista?  Subject, of course, to your ability 
and/or willingness to process at home.
