[OM] Canon off-shoe cord 2 and FL-50

I'm told on the dpreview Olympus SLR forum by "Higuma" that you can run 
an FL-50 off shoe from an E-1 using the Canon off-shoe cord 2.

He says: "This cord is - fully functional with the FL-50 - cheaper by 
almost 50% and of a better construction..."

I'm not sure what he's comparing to since I can't find any Oly 
alternative on B&H but I'm absolutely stunned that there is this kind of 
(apparently accidental) compatibility.
