Prize for second? This was a US contest. We don't care about second. What
is the name of our Vice President anyway? Who lost in the World Series last
year (oh yeah, the Yankees! Ha-Ha)? Therefore, the prize for the First
Annual, Mid-August, Native American Herb and Weed Identification Contest
(FAMANAHAWIC) goes to Chuck Norcutt. The prize, to uphold another great
tradition in the USA, is the great sense of self satisfaction Chuck is
feeling as he reads this e-mail. Note, the FAMANAHAWIC is only available to
United States citizens who spend too much time online discussing
photographic equipment only. Citizens of foreign countries can enter, but
their responses with be disregarded and they may be finger printed.
Purchase on OM equipment is necessary for entry.

Chuck probably is right. I considered bloodroot, but the petals just didn't
look right to me: too skinny and too few. Maybe it's an undernourished
specimen.

Is there a prize for being second? :-[

Anyway, it's not a weed, unless you want it to be.
