I have tried copying slide with E-1 (just for fun) but the result was
disappointing, the color was way off, can't compare with the scan from my
N*kon 4000ED. I did shoot RAW as always with the E-1. The un-adjusted result
was very high contrast, you need a big tune up and the D-Range of E-1 is not
as good as the scanner.

If you just want quick copy and don't care too much about the quality, it is
ok. Otherwise you may need to go through the complicated post adjustment
process, it is not as easy as playing with real objects. Eventually, you may
take more time to get a good "scan", not to mention about stitching, it is a
nightmare.
