Yesterday there was a quite accidental but major power disruption to
downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and points north into the San Fernando
Valley. Due to recent terrorist threats against LA there was immediate
speculation that bad guys might be involved. During the terror
vulnerability discussions the commentator said that the population of
the greater Los Angles metro area was about 16 million or roughly the
size of the total population of Oz.
I can't vouch for any of these figures but, if correct, I hadn't
realized that LA had grown that large or that Oz was quite that small
(population-wise anyhow).
