The 50/1.4 is a great lens. I haven't used mine in awhile though. I
opted for the 24/2.8, 35/2 and 85/2 when I went away, the 50 didn't
make the cut since I was trying to stick to a small kit. I could have
even left the 24 home too, I don't think I took any shots during my 8
months away. The 35/2 is truly one of the greats and could work well
for street photography too if you have one (it's a classic focal
length for that type of work). I'd also forgotten how good the 85/2 is
and how much fun it is to use. It had a sticky aperture so I had
stopped using it and mostly used my Tarmron 90/2.5 macro which is
another great lens but it's a lot bigger and heavier. John H did a
great job with fixing the 85/2 up and doing a CLA on one of my OM-1n's
before I left so it was able to go on the trip. After using the 90/2.5
for so long it was so nice to have the extra speed in such a small
package (for reference, it's only 10mm longer than the 50/1.4 and it
weighs the same). Should you manage to get the 90/2 unglued from your
OM-4Ti (real shame there, what type of adhesive did you use?) I'd
highly recommend it as a small lightweight contender for that focal
length. Having not used the 90/2 I can't say how it compares.
