Ah, very good point ... I'd forgotten about that. :s

But then again, they were going for fully compatible IC designs, whereas
here we have different systems from different manufacturers, with
undeniably different aesthetics .. So by just having an Olympus E-500 and
such, the likely hood of clones and confusion isn't going to happen ...

It could be that they just want people to talk about the name,  and guess
what?  We're doing that now ...
