I never have but wish I did. A couple of months ago I was shooting a
groom at his house while he was preparing for his wedding at the church
a couple blocks away. I was shooting flash in manual mode when he
suddenly decided it was time to go to the church and, unannounced,
literally bolted out the door with a small party trailing behind.

I was caught unawares and had to gather up my bag and then try to catch
up to him while fumbling to reset the camera. In the rush I made some
not so smart decisions which would have been obviated had I simply
switched it into program mode. By dumb luck I managed to get a couple
of good shots before he got to the church but only by dumb luck.

Next time I'm in a rush I'll switch to "P" mode until I get a chance to
think.
