If your "someone else" is not the same as my "someone else," you need to be
more cautious either about what you buy or who you let "work on" what you
already have.

Walt, that is only way too funny. I haven't seen my someone else in a long
time . . .however, it seems like he was around more when he had a little
closer relationship with Demon Rum.
It is true, I should be a bit more careful about what I buy and this is
essentially a very nice OM 2n with what was a minor problem created by someone
else and then really scr#$ed up by me. I guess I could offer to sell it in
its
screwed up condition (needing the knob) to a list member at a decent price
of say, $35 including postage in the USA. I'd send them the knob with the
twisted off screw. That would have someone on the list with a decent OM 2n
for
a decent price, assuming they had the part to repair it and would keep
someone else at arms distance while the repair is being done. Hmmm, maybe
I'll
