Funny you said that....Now I remember that once I had an overexposed shot with 
the A200 of an object which was illuminated by a forty five degrees 
lightsource...
This or next weekend I may have a little time for photography and would try to 
repeat the conditions under the shot was taken, and would let you know.
I know how odd this sounds and that it does not help you, but during the 
limited time I spent with my camera, I noticed that with the built in meter, 
the exposures are right on, but I get different results when using a handheld 
lightmeter (which gave me perfect exposures on Fuji and OM).  Granted, mine is 
a cheap one, Adorama brand that I bought years ago for about eighty bucks.
I know that I am not helping much, but this type of problem requires a little 
more experimentation...:(
