I suggest not calibrating OM-1s to alkaline batteries as the voltage of that 
type of battery starts to drop as soon as you use it. Camera can quickly go 
out of calibration in this case.
Suggest to him using 357, 303, SR44w, G13, MS76, KS76, s76 type battery 
(silver oxide) and insert a diode (like 1N34A or 1N6263) at meter switch.
