The tricky part of regluing elements is getting the alignment right. This
really needs to be done using quite solid fixtures... I've seen websites
where the fixtures were machined up from steel with dowel pins arranged to
hold the elements in alignment. If you want to recement the elements I'd
recommend sending it in to a professional company for this work. The lens if
perfect is worth $1500 or so, so IMO its worth a few hundred to get it
fixed, depending on how close you are now to that market cost of an
equivalent or better one. They aren't that common, though, so you might have
a wait to find one available...
