Mark is correct. During the 30 day free trial period I even tried out
the tethered shooting feature. Quite nicely implemented, actually, but
not at all worth the 150$ upgrade price to Studio from Viewer for most
folks, IMO, as that's about all you get for the money. If I were
shooting lots and lots of studio shots, however, I expect I'd find the
$150 well spent.

With the E-1 I believe this can be done using Studio and having the
camera connected in control mode using either the firewire or USB
connector.  In this mode the computer can also control almost all the
funtions on the camera.
I assume other vendors do something similar.
