In Denmark the 17.5 to 45mm zoom is being sold by internet shops in a basic 
kit with the E-500. The kit also includes a battery holder that holds 3 
CR123 Lithium batteries; no BLM-1 rechargeable battery and no charger. The 
price of 4000 danish kroner is much lower than any other DSLR in Denmark. 
The lens is not available separately, but the battery holder apparently is. 
Could be useful on an extended backpacking or canoeing trip away from 
civilisation.
