When I was growing up in south Minneapolis some 55 years ago, there was
a fair amount of good-natured joking about which brand of Scandinavian
one was. Here's an example:
Young Norwegian boy, pondering the Christmas story: "Father, why wasn't
Jesus born in Sweden?"
Wise Norwegian father: "That's simple, my son. God couldn't find a
virgin and three wise men."
