I hear what you're saying Moose and I'd like to comply but in regards to
the Odyssey gallery your request for back and forth navigation arrows is
difficult to achieve (at least for me with my rudimentary knowledge of PHP
scripting).

I'll explain...

The OO gallery operates by the use of two pages, the thumbnails page and
the 'large images' page. The 'large images' page has a PHP script on it so
that the page is re-used each time a thumbnail is clicked and only the
photo and its particular info is changed.

This saves me time when new photos are contributed (I don't need to make
four new pages every time), it ensures consistency, and it saves space on
the server (two pages instead of hundreds of pages).

I know what you're going to say - my priorities are all wrong, I'm putting
the webmaster ahead of the user. And I agree, I am guilty as charged.

But considering that a new OO site is coming soon I don't feel like
spending many hours learning how to write the script for the back and forth
navigation arrows right now. Next time I design a gallery I'll put the
effort in and do it properly, but not right now.

As for the new OO site gallery, I'm not sure what Jeff wants to do with
it. If he wants to use my script I'll help him to make it work like you
suggest.

As for putting these navigation arrows on the World Wide Picture Day
gallery it is very easy and I'm willing to assist but the decision is up to
Jeff 'cos it's his baby!
