I really love using the A1 in the studio for this very reason.
Product photography with a "waistlevel" viewfinder is the cat's
meow. However, the digital cameras don't have the nasty
reversed image of a reflex camera.

Back to Walt's point. I've been noticing the equipment in the
used bins at the pro shop I frequent. On the rare instance that
a medium-format camera shows up, it's gone within hours. It has
to be either way overpriced or a real beater in order to sit as
much as a week. Almost all of the used equipment now is 35mm
Canon with a sprinkling of Nikon. F5s and F100s last only a
couple of days at best, but the Canons--even beautiful EOS-1V
bodies will rest for a while. Now there is a decent selection
of used digitals, such as D60s, 10Ds and D100s and Fuji S2s.
They sit for quite a while. They're getting more life as
rentals than anything.
