I'm convinced that my wife's perception is better than mine. At each
move up in digital camera quality, she has noticed and made positive
comments about the results. Further, I dropped a zoom that I was
using for formal portrait sessions and had to use a prime. She
commented on the "better" quality before I mentioned the damaged lens.
What really amazed me was her ability to recognize Leica prints. I
used to have a Minilux and she could pick them out even from 4x6
machine prints. "That's the Leica. Really is something special about
that." When asked what "that" was, she couldn't explain what she was
seeing but she knew it when she saw it.
