I am still looking for a scanner to cope with my kodachromes, I notice
that this scanner has a cold cathode light source like the older 5400
which was good for kodachromes, so has anyone used this scanner - I
think its similar to the polaroid 4000.

My choice at the moment is nikon V minolta 5400 II or this 4000tf.

Nikon - not reputable the best for kodachrome - but a pal has one at
work so I have brought him some difficult ones to scan as a test
5400 II - not as good with kodachromes as old version - though not many
reviews
4000tf - I have seen good results but doesn't have ice or fare - soscans
probably need more post scan clean up - though most of mine are clean.

I have also seen a slide copier advertised for digital camera's the
advert showed it on a 350D anyone tried one of these.

On reflection I would buy the original 5400, but at the time I thought
scanners were going to improve :-)
