Speaking of tripods, I just got an 1N back for redo after complaints
that now the release botton was sticking down after exposure. Camera
came in with a metal quick release block stuck to the bottom, but this
one was different. See pic.

This tripod block has a hex set screw on it. So, first the customer
turns the main tripod screw as tight as she can, THEN she wrenches the
set screw tight enough to flex the bottom of the body casting AND renew
the huge dimple in the bottom cover that I had already straightened. It
was wrenched so hard that tripod block itself has a slight bend in it
now. Oh yeah, because a space had formed between body and block, she
took it off, applied a huge gob of silicon rubber seal and then put it
back on. Silicon squished in through crack on front edge of bottom
cover and got into the release mechanism.

Some people...
