Great start. The best I can get are Stanley, and rather small.

Ouch ouch ouch __ I can imagine my little 21/3.5 making a crunching sound
under my weight :(
I could care less about the palm of my hand.

Yes, I think 'stigmata' is quite the correct term since the middle ages or
even before.

Sounds better, but won't it spread into other mechanical parts or worse,
onto the glass ??? __ perhaps not in this particular case, I hope.
