I'm of the opposite end on this.  I've never been able to get
tilt to be overly usable for me.  Shift is the cat's meow in my
world.  In large-format, tilt is necessary for DOF control, but
from an artistic perspective, I just don't "see" the images.  I
can't get my brain around it for some reason.
