I couldn't get my system to recognize the E-1 properly until I started
over. Uninstalled everything, then reinstalled Viewer 1.0 from the CD.
Rebooted. Went through the driver install as detailed, rebooting exactly
when/how described.

My XP desktop recognizes my E-300 but not my E-1. Olympus said call them
between 8am & 5pm M-F. I haven't been home during those hours to call
them.
Prior to the software that came with my E-300, the XP desktop wouldn't
even load the Oly software.
