Glad you enjoyed Asheville. I grew up about 20 miles south of there, in the
once-small community of Hendersonville. I left when the moving vans were
bumper to bumper coming in off the Interstate. Going back this spring for
the first time in six or so years.
When I was a kid I could walk the length of Main Street and know almost
everyone I encountered. The last time I was in town I walked the length of
Main Street and didn't see a soul I knew.
Sigh.
