I don't think you're going to find any farms or ranches in Charleston 
but I'm sure you'll find plenty of "bed and breakfast" inns.  A "bed and 
breakfast" inn is usually a large house converted to a hotel by the 
owners.  Since it's really just a large house there may only be 3 or 4 
guest rooms.  The room rate typically includes breakfast served family 
style and at a particular time in the morning.

Since bed and breakfast inns are usually in old houses they may or may 
not be air conditioned.  That's something to be mindful of during August 
in Charleston.
