[OM] Still cool, but the funk lingers

At 9:00 this morning, it was 68F. here, under what I call a "high sky," kind of
a hazy overcast that diffuses direct sunlight just enough to make photography
more better. So, I hopped into the SSR with the Odyssey OM-1n, loaded with my
last roll of Kodachrome, and 35-80/2.8 Zuiko, retracted the lid, which involves
pushing and holding a button while listening to 20 seconds of all sorts of
interesting mechanical whirings and purrings, while the steel and glass top
just folds itself up and vanishes into its private hidey-hole.

Then I drove all around the area, looking cool, as I always do, sounding cool
(love that big V-8 rumble), and acting cool, that is, acknowledging those who
wave or honk in admiration of my slick ride with a casual raising of a couple
of friendly fingers of the steering hand. I had much fun driving around for
nearly two hours, but, alas, I took not a single picture. The only thing I saw
that was in any sense inspirational was where there was no place to park, or
even to pull over to shoot with the motor running, and the nearest possible
stopping place was well over my 500-yard limit.

Looks like in order to complete this assignment I'm going to have to get
further from town and/or get my butt out of the truck. Maybe this weekend --
if it doesn't rain. I've gotta do something to get out of my photo phunk. :-[
