Ian, were the V700 scans taken with the little film height adjusters 
applied (seems that makes a big difference one way or another according

The scans look good enough for me. I'm about to sell my Polaroid 
Sprintscan 4000 film scanner as I want something that can scan negs 
other than 35mm, and something non-SCSI. The V700 seems like it's 
arrived at a good time.
