For those who use RRS camera plates, the 21D plate that fits OM bodies
without motor drives also fits the E 500 very well. The 21D plate also fits the
Bessa R, for those who use range finders. Like John Hermanson said, the ME-1
Eyepiece magnifier really helps with the small viewfinder. The only thing I
don't
like about the E series is the viewfinders. I played with the 35-100 F2.0 zoom
last Saturday at Arlington Camera, in Arlington, Texas. Really nice. The
upcoming 14-50 Panasonic lens and the 35-100 F2.0 are officially on my wish
list.
I like and use wide angle a lot. The 11-22 has worked well so far, but I
really want the 7-14. However, a serious drawback is the no filter issue. As
big
as that lens is, making it a little bit bigger to accommodate filters woul;d
have been nice.
