All the MD's and winders have a slipping "clutch" which is a very small o-ring.
This was still available from Oly not too long ago, but it is otherwise not a
standard easy to get
size.
These o-rings eventually turn to mush and the winders/MD's then start to slip
when winding. So
check carefully to make sure it is not slipping with film in camera, or factor
a repair into the
price. Even the MD1's which are basically very simple are a bit of a pain to
disassemble, because
of fragile wiring which is glued in place. The winders are actually a little
easier to dissemble,
but still some work to do.
