Some aren't even prisms. The 300 & 350D are assemblies of mirrors.
On the other hand, and apropos of the recent discussion of viewfinder
brightness on 35mm vs. MF, even the finest prism and viewfinder optical
system is limited by the small image on the viewscreens required by the
small sensors.
