No big deal. There weren't many keepers anyway. Shooting in HQ
mode was just plain smart--makes image selection quite easy.
Knoxville's main grandstand isn't the steepest around and the
catch-fence is really tall. When the cars are zipping past you,
the only thing visible is usually just the wing. But that's not
really all that important anyway because the action is in the
corners with the guys slicing and dicing.
To put this place in perspective for those who know NASCAR,
these sprint-cars circle Knoxville's 1/2 mile faster than CUP
cars circle Bristol's 1/2 mile. And Knoxville is dirt. These
sprint cars are essentially just an engine attached to four
wheels with this barndoor wing holding them to the ground.
